Jewelry designer Becky Kelso believes in following her heart over following what's hip. Kelso was initially on the route to becoming a costume designer, studying illustration and fashion design at the Fashion Institute in Southern California. However, during two years spent living in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, Kelso began to explore the art of jewelry making. Serving as apprentice to a jeweler and learning to be a silversmith, Kelso quickly learned the tricks of the trade and debuted her own collection in 1995. Kelso's collections feature timeless pieces that reflect her travels—especially to Morocco and Turkey—as well as her many cross-cultural interests.

Kelso has described herself as a designer who is motivated by fashion and pop culture but grounded and centered in her craft. Each intricate Kelso design retains an antique aesthetic, looking timeless, unique, and stylish all at once. With such delicacy and intimacy found in all of Kelso's dainty creations, it is no wonder that her jewelry is highly coveted by some of Hollywood's style stars. Kelso's lovely designs adorn the necks, ears and wrists of starlets including Cate Blanchett, Penelope Cruz and Cameron Diaz.
